Pregnancy can be a time of reflection about the future with a new baby. Parents may have general questions about breastfeeding or specific concerns. An antenatal assessment and information home visit can be arranged to address your specific needs.
Antenatal Home Visit Cost: $70
Includes:
- Maternal history and assessment
- Personalised feeding plan
There is an additional charge of $2.00/km beyond 20km from Goulburn Post Office. This is to cover the additional time and petrol.
Antenatal Group Class
Have you considered an antenatal breastfeeding class to help you get breastfeeding off to the best start? Attending a class during the antenatal period helps with successful initiation of breastfeeding and continuing breastfeeding to 6 months and beyond.
Exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months and then continuing to breastfeed while giving family foods provides your baby with the healthiest diet. The longer you can breastfeed for the healthier for you as well.
In the 2hr class you will explore how breastfeeding works, getting breastfeeding started with your new baby while in hospital, what to expect going home, hand expressing, a few sleep strategies, and where to get more support.
Classes Cost: $50 for 2 people, $30 each additional support person.
